The game category Artists Identified by Their Paintings differs from other categories. Usually players identify the image shown. If the image is a person, players name that person; if the image is a thing, players name that thing. In this category, a notable painting will appear; the challenge is identifying the artist.
At the time of this writing, this category contains 4,034 paintings. If you’re versed in the fine arts, this category should be fun. For most of us, this is a tough category. The sheer number of paintings makes this bracket daunting. That’s why Brain Bout divided this topic into levels so you can level up without becoming frustrated.
- Artists Identified by Their Paintings Level 1 contains the most recognizable paintings by well-known artists. It is the easiest level.
- Artists Identified by Their Paintings Level 2 is more challenging.
- Artists Identified by Their Paintings Level 3 includes the entire collection, making Level 3 very difficult.
Nudes
Greatly admired paintings often portray scantily clad or completely nude human subjects. Brain Bout moderates this category with the opinion that nudity is not pornography. While some images were removed, understand that this category includes nudity.
